Here’s a comprehensive list of wedding photography FAQs.
A: That’s a tough question to answer. Some of the popular “styles” associated with wedding photographer are candid, documentary, photojournalistic, art wedding photography and other fancy words like these. What we do is a mixture of all of these styles – and depends on the moment and what we’re aiming to achieve. We typically stay close to the couple while being hypersensitive to behind-the-scenes moments and emotions that occur spontaneously. This approach possibly make the best wedding memories. This is largely photojournalistic to an extent – but we also like making gorgeous looking wedding photos for which we may direct and set the scene to an extent. We believe that a successful wedding assignment needs a mixture of all of this, and a responsible photographer should be adaptable enough to deliver a mix of genres.
A: Yes, of course – we’ve shot weddings all over India and abroad. We’ve had the privilege of shooting in almost every corner of India, as well as beautiful destination wedding photography spots like San Fransico, USA, London, UK, Dubai, Maputo, Mozambique, Lisbon, Portuhgal etc.
A: We first started assisting world leading photographers in London and shooting small events way back in 2007 . Since then, we’ve shot hundreds of love stories – and look forward to being a part of yours!
A: We are based in Ahmedabad – the capital city of Gujarat. However, we have shot events & weddings all over the world, and are happy to travel to your wedding – wherever it may be! Being based in a major metropolis, we enjoy easy connectivity to all parts of the world.
A: We take up very limited weddings every year, and only shoot one wedding at a time. We like to focus 100% of our attention on one wedding, in order to give you the very best we can. This is very important to us as this is the only way we can keep up the quality standards we are proud to have set, as well as give us enough time to be able to edit and develop your pictures – the way we meant them to be!
A: The short answer is no, we do not! Our core assignment fees will remain the same – and will only cover the number of days we will actually be shooting. As a photographer, we realise that we need to be available to shoot where and when needed and recognise that there will be non-billable days in travel. That’s all right, but out-of-station assignments will have an extra travel and lodging charge associated, which will be at actuals.
A: We have a full in-house team of photographers, cinematographers and editors who can complement your wedding story with additional posed imagery and wedding movies. We have everything you need under one roof – which gives us the freedom to be able to create a single cohesive story using still and moving images for your wedding! ohh! this also helps safe guarding your RAW data as we do not believe in out sourcing our work to anyone!
A: We take up only one wedding at a time to ensure our full attention on you. Either Amit or Nehal will always lead the team and be at your wedding. In addition to them, our team of wedding professionals includes seasoned second shooters, cinematographers, and assistants.
A: Absolutely! Wedding cinema has evolved a lot over the last few years. We will develop a beautiful cinematic documentary style wedding video which will perfectly complement your hand crafted wedding album. Typical deliverables include a wedding trailer (5-6 mins), and a up-to 45-60 minute wedding short film — all in brilliant high definition video (HD). A: Yes, we absolutely do! As a matter of fact, we highly recommend hiring just us to shoot both the groom’s and the bride’s family. It’s an absolute waste of resources to have two separate teams to essentially the same thing let along huge team of shooters covering the actual view during the event. We have enough resources in-house to be able to cover your entire wedding from start to finish.
A: Yes, of course. You can hire us for either one. But we highly recommend that you hire us for the entire package. When we cover a wedding, we are shooting your story from a certain perspective that reflects in both our photography and films. Hiring two teams can cause a clash of ideas, priority for shots etc. In addition, both your end products won’t be complimenting to each other.
A: Yes, definitely! We will work very closely with you to identify what we call the “Near & Dear” of people. Before the wedding, we will make sure to get introduced to your friends and family so that we don’t miss out any moments. We will also ask the couple to nominate a person in charge who will be responsible for important group shots. We will make every effort to ensure that these people aren’t missed out.
A: We certainly do not limit the number of images we shoot during an event/wedding (the wonders of digital photography!). The kind of work we do results in a number of photos including the ones with bad expressions, bad lighting, distractions in the frame and so on. After carefully short listing them, we reject around 60-70% of the material right away for one reason or the other. The rest of the photos are manually selected, digitally enhanced to tell a story if needed and marked for final delivery. On average, we deliver between 400-600 images from a two-day wedding, and between 500-800 images from a three-day wedding (and so on…). This will be more than sufficient for you to relive your wedding, frame by frame.
After all a camera din’t make a great picture any more than a typewriter that makes a great novel. – Peter Adams
